Some of my beautiful roses. I am slowly cracking the code for growing excellent roses here. More rigorous pruning than in temperate zones - at least two nodes back each time. Also, raised beds, irrigation and lots and lots of fertilizer. Next week they will get a dose of my organic fungicide and hopefully soon some home made mulch.
Wonderful roses! What are their names? I've been looking at the roses grown in Ecuador (one of my possible retirement options) and I recognize none of them! I've grown Dutch, English and American roses and some of yours look familiar.
The first one, the white, looks like my JFK HT. The second one looks somewhat like Queen Elizabeth and the fifth one looks like Olympiad, my favorite red. #6 looks exactly like Garden Party and #7 like Peace. I've grown all of these here in the Caribbean and I'd be delighted if they were available in Panama.
