Just sharing pictures of some of the varieties of hibiscus that I have on the coffee farm: Big ones little ones, cheeky ones and flashy ones. It is easy in Boquete to get obsessive about collecting varieties of hibiscus. Many are available and it is almost impossible to collect them all. There is a gas station in town that sells the giant hybrids for $10. This is a very handsome sum of money here in Boquete, but after spending $60 on fuel they somehow seem affordable. Some of the vendors who sell plants on Saturdays also specialize in hibiscus exotica. I grow it as a hedge at the top of the farm and am expanding the collection around the house. They grow fast, are easy to propagate, and their flowers are an endless fascination.
