Today, house full of 3 electricians tinkering with voltage. Sometimes, it feels like people, animals, life in general could do with a higher voltage, and more umphhh,here in Panama. Most of the time we get by. However, for some things, like my new roaster, we need more and we need it fast.
Normal voltage here in a plug is just 110V. For the first 6 months of living here, I wondered why it took 2 hrs to roast a chicken. Then a friend explained the problem.
The oven was hooked up to 220V and from a food perspective we never looked back. Lunch was on time again and things worked in the kitchen. Now I need the same for coffee roasting - high voltage. Here we go again.
