Spring Cleaning with a Chain Saw

Harvest is over, many of the trees are dried out and some are very old.  The tree in the middle photograph was cut back already five times in its life. 

We are now pruning trees we want to keep and cutting down those that need to be replaced with new plants.   The whirring noise of the chain saw is drowning out the bird song.

Apparently, coffee wood makes great fire wood.   Plenty of kindle and some big trunks too.
